A cob of corn has about the same number of calories as an apple and less than one-fourth the sugar. In other words, it can be one of the healthier foods. Apart from these benefits, your favourite monsoon snack Corn is a great source of fibre that aids in digestion. Add a cup of yellow corn to your diet, to fill your body with 3.6 grams of dietary fibre. This fibre will help control your hunger and aid in weight loss.

Quick Ideas To Serve: Besides corn on the cob that can be relished roasted or steamed, try corn bhel, grilled corn sandwiches, corn patties, corn samosas and baked corn too.

Corn recipes  

1. Grilled or Roasted Bhutta
Preparation Time : 10 minutes
Cooking Time : 20 minutes
Serves : 5

Ingredients
5 ears of corn with stems
1/2 Teaspoon of salt
1 Teaspoon of chilli powder
1/2 Teaspoon of black pepper powder
1 lemon cut in quarters
1 Teaspoon of butter/ghee optional

Method

Grill the cob on a stove top on a medium flame. Keep turning to cook on all sides. The secret of grilling lies in cooking evenly until lightly charred but not burnt.
Melt the butter/ghee and apply. After it is done mix salt, chilli powder, pepper powder, lemon juice and apply to the cob.
Today the grilled bhutta in its modern avatar has changed a lot. Special dressings are available – from mustard sauce to Chinese Schezwan sauce and cheese but nothing beats the age old bhutta topping of simple salt, chilli powder and tangy lemon.

2. Corn Bhel

Preparation Time : 25minutes
Cooking Time : 15 minutes
Serves : 4

Ingredients
1 large chopped corn kernels
1 cup roasted peanuts
1 large chopped tomato
1 large chopped onion
1/2 inch cubes, 2 medium boiled Potatoes
1 teaspoon chaat masala
3-4 chopped green chillies
2 tablespoons Green chutney
2 tablespoons Sweet tamarind chutney
1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
Salt to taste
Chopped fresh coriander leaves
Sev to garnish

Method

Boil corn kernels. Drain and remove excess water. This bhel can be made with hot or cold corn kernels.

In bowl, mix corn kernels, tomato, potatoes, chaat masala, green chillies, green chutney, tamarind chutney, coriander leaves well.

Add lemon juice, salt and mix. Divide into individual servings, sprinkle sev and serve immediately.

‘Homemaker’ and ‘Housewife’ both words refer to the same character, but if we spell out the usage of these words, there is a lot of diversity. Firstly, there’s the difference between house and home. People change houses, but your home is your home. A ‘Homemaker’ or ‘Housewife’ is the one who creates a home. A house is just a structure of bricks, stones and concrete. It includes social, cultural and emotional aspects. A woman, who converts house into a home, is a ‘Homemaker’ and not only a ‘Housewife’.

Since ancient times, thinking of the society is that men as the main “bread earners” in families. This means they worked for earning money to pay for food, while the women have to do house work i.e. up bring the children, prepared food, cleaned the home and take care of the daily chores etc. It was seen as the job of a woman to be a “housewife”.

In present scenario, there are still many customs about the jobs that women’s should do. Even at this time, when women have good educations. They are able to earn money like the men usually do. Nowadays, in many families where both husband and wife work, both partners contribute in the housework and also in caring for the children.

In some families, there is still a traditional inspiration that housework is the job of the wife or she must stay at home in some situations and play an important role in the family. She handles all the household work which includes cooking, cleaning, organizing the home, shopping grocery, clothes and other family needs, caring for children’s health, education, home works, playing with children, caring for elders, entertaining guests, planning for guests and holidays/celebrations, preparing a budget, discovering ways to use the household’s financial planning, making bill payments, caring pets & gardening etc. Every day her work starts by morning and continues till late night. She works for 365 days selflessly without any salary or break or credit.

The husband could be the prime earner and contributor, but the woman who stays home is the main contributor of the emotional care and happy environment of the home. She’s the one to encourage in her children the values and base that creates a healthy, balance minded child for future. There is much more to be understood for homemaker who is able make her dreams come true with support of the family, raising kids, clean, cook and still put on a cheerful face and love what she are doing all by the side of the routine.

Women- the delicate, fragile and soft lady seems come from different planet. Life of them is totally different from men their works are restricted like raising and caring their kids, family or cleaning and cooking.

Here I am going to share a real story of women that what are their daily routines as a housewife.

Sneha 32 year old, young, beautiful lady from Jaipur shares her routine work with us. She says It’s no wonder kitchen is my most favorite room in my home as I spend a lot time there.

From morning till evening, from evening to late night, from night to morning  ……..

In fact it seems, there is nothing else in life except in the kitchen and food. Every woman’s have the same dilemma, when and what to make. Sometimes it seems to be cooked me when I feel exasperated. It does not want to talk like this but it looks like this.

imgpsh_fullsize (99)In short it does not mean that I do not like to cook. I like to cook, and my family and friends say that I cook very tasty and delicious food. But the things look good if they are controlled. If you have to stay in the kitchen for 8 hours in 24 hours, how will it feel?

In my family no one likes to eat Gobi and it’s like allergic to bitter melon. So what’s left? Potato and Bhindi!! Papa is a diabetic patient, so the potatoes are avoided.

Husband likes chickpeas cheese, Papa hates it a lot. Papa likes mangodi papad, husband has not tasted yet.

Now our beloved mother is going to treat the teeth. Rice kichi upma, do not love them and rest is oatmeal and Kadhi and potatoes with it.

Now the story from night to morning…… Sometimes I remind at 12 o’clock to soak the chickpeas and at 1 AM dahi zamana. It takes 2 o’clock in the kitchen so the motor of the kitchen is on or off. Taking the bottle out from the freezer at 3 o’clock and if it is 4 o’clock, keep it inside the curd neither it will be sour.

What to do? I still not get any answer. My baby needs milk at 7 A.M. Mummy-Papa wants to have tea at 8 in morning and my dearest hubby take coffee at 9 o’clock. Its not over yet…. Breakfast timings also vary children at 10, husband at 11 and mummy and papa needs at 12.

Again Sasu mom lunches at 2 o’clock. Children at 3 o’clock and I thankful to god that at the time of breakfast lunch of my father-in-law and husband is packed. Same thing happened with dinner.

Women as Bread Earner of the Family

The portrayal of women in India has been an evolving miracle since time immemorial.  The women in India have changed the social role over the past as they worshiped as divine or pure creatures, to the feudal role of child bearing or rearing. In today’s developing time women has got much more significance role.

Women are the one, always see their family first and last and fade their own dreams for them. They need to remember family is the one where she is going to spend her entire life. She need to take care of whatever is possible, they are spending more time around their children to be a good mother and rest of the time to prove her a good wife. And man at their place thinks the lady only can manage and handle their family in better way so they always stand against to their job and make them a bread maker of the family.

But the contemporary women in India have moved beyond all social boundaries to emerge as triumphant leaders of tomorrow. Now the scenario is changed and females are dogging successful ambitious in the male dominated corporates and women have stepped into the part-time jobs to showcase their hidden talent and had stepped out from being bread bakers to bread earners of the family.

A woman is the only one who is the giver at each stage of life and can fulfill all the desires or challenges she faces. Dreams of her family she make her own and fade her own desires.

Women as Housewives

In India being a housewife is difficult job as you have no real appreciation, no raise and its non-stop from the time you open your eyes in the morning to the tick you shut your eyes at night.

In our society there are many women see it as a family role and in result they get boredom, complacency or boredom. It’s time to change your life and headspace and it give the niche it deserves. Jump over the barriers and try to fulfill your dream.

You can attend cooking course, dance classes or whatever your hobby is, if you are not allowed to go out and work, starting engaging yourself by doing home-based jobs or freelancing.  It won’t not only give you the income but also makes your mentally and physically fit.  Try to prove your husband you are more likely to him in each case.

Conclusion

"Don't do it for money, do it because you want to help others"

To begin with…. Lets’ get familiar with Zeemlo. Zeemlo- is a homemade food service that provide “Ghar Ka Khana” or “Maa ke Hath Ka Khana” to all those people who are living away from their sweet home.

Need for Zeemlo Community

Furthermore, Zeemlo launched a “Zeemlo Community” as they are part of social service. With our volunteers and chef’s we build our team. Our chefs are the ladies who want to show their talent of cooking or were waiting for the opportunity that allow them work from home. Zeemlo gives them a platform where they also can be the part of Zeemlo Community and help people who are needy.

Why social service is required

If we measure the ratio of poor children, we observe the majority of impoverished and orphan children are high. And you will found them most at public places like bus stop, near complex, temples or transport routes. They have no place to sleep or have no shelter to cover their heads. They born and raised in poor family with no living standard. They don’t have any knowledge about the rights and wrongs. To aware them with all good and bad, Zeemlo step into social services. There is neither greater joy nor greater reward than to make a fundamental difference in someone’s life

For whom we work

Zeemlo helps the poverty-stricken people either the parents or their child. We believe in spreading joy with no fee in return. We too work for the orphan children or the elderly ladies living in “Vridh Ashram”.

Why Ladies are part of Zeemlo Community

Our chef team is also a part of Zeemlo Community. If we compare to women to men interestingly women invest their most time and money in social communities. As the reason of they are familiar with the gender based violence in aspect to sexual assault, domestic or rape. They understand the problem more deeply and provide the precise solution. As a mother they have a soft corner not only for their own child but for every single child. Conclusion Recently, we organized a social event, where our team motivate penurious children and inspire them by telling them a real-life stories that can change their life too. We also freely transfer the possessions like gifts, food etc. At the end we feel happy by seeing a smile on the cute little faces. Or we can say:-

“There is no bigger investment than your time and no real diamond than the smile of kids”.
