To make Honey Rainbow Fruit Salad you need to follow few steps:-

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries, diced
  • 4 kiwis, peeled and diced
  • 1 lb fresh pineapple, diced
  • Honey Lime Dressing
  • 12 oz red grapes, diced into halves
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 Tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 12 oz fresh blueberries
  • 1 (15 oz) can mandarin oranges in juice, well drained with 2 halves
  • 2 ripe bananas, diced*
  • 2 tsp lime zest

Note

You can add any fruit according to your taste.

Directions

Add all fruit to a large container or bowl. In a small mixing bowl, whip together with honey, lime zest and lime juice. Pour over fruit just before serving and toss to evenly coat- keep it for few minutes until it socks the juice and toss it before plating/serve.

 

A SHORT STORY- “HOME AWAY FROM HOME”

Arvind was living in Vaishali Nagar, Jaipur and a day he was packing his luggage. He has done with all of his pending assignments and getting ready for long holidays. The thing is it was his first year away from home and he was feeling homesick. He was missing his family, his friends and looking a reason to meet them.

He celebrates every festival without them and now its time to go. And his leave too sanctioned in advance, he booked tickets, did shopping for his parents. In short the next week he will be with his family. He requests a mail but no fruitful result. Arvind was totally disappointed and he cancelled his tickets. All plans were ruined- movie tickets, shopping etc. He called up his mom to inform the changes. As Arvind was upset he disconnects the phone and shortens the conversation with his mom. On call her mom told about his favorite dish “Idli Sambar”. Somehow he was not able to keep his favorite food out of his mind. ALOO BHINDI – PUNJABI STYLE FRIED POTATOES AND OKRA

Aloo Bhindi – “A recipe made using Potato (Aloo) and Lady’s Finger (Bhindi/Okra)”.

Guest is on the way to your home and you have very little time left. What to prepare for them- is it a reeling question you facing- I have a solution for you.

You left with some lady finger or potatoes in your kitchen/fridge. You can mix them with some masala’s or make “Aloo Bhindi”.

To give you a little presentation, aloo bhindi is a gravy dish where we set up the sauce and include seared potatoes and lady finger into it. The gravy is a blend of onions, tomatoes and cumin seeds. This dish is set up in punjabi style, so make use of ghee for frying vegetables and garam masala and give them a spicy flavor.

What to prepare or other essential needs:-

Separately deep-fry the bhindi and aloo and make sure bhindi is not soggy.

Cover it with masala to give a yummiest taste.

List of Ingredients:-

In this I am separating the portion into 3 i.e.

Masalas

  • Turmeric Powder – ½ tbsp.
  • Garam Masala – 1 tbsp
  • Coriander Powder – 1 tbsp
  • Red Chili powder – ½ tbsp.
  • Mango Powder – ¼ tbsp (Optional)
  • Salt – 1 tbsp
  • Lemon Juice – 2-3 tbsp

 

Vegetables

  • Lady’s Finger – 250 gm
  • Potatoes – 2 medium or 1 big
  • Tomatoes – 2
  • Green chili – 3
  • Garlic – 4-5 slices
  • Ginger – 1 slice

Preparation Steps

  1. Cut the small piece of 1 large potato and lady finger.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp of butter and ghee into pan. Fry the bhindi as the pan get heated.
  3. Repeat the step two for potatoes and once they are completely fried keep them separate.
  4. Cut 1 onion with 3 green chili and 5-6 garlic florets and heat them in pan with ghee.
  5. Add ½ tbsp. turmeric powder, ½ tbsp red chili powder, 1 tbsp coriander powder and 1 tbsp garam masala.
  6. Add the chopped tomatoes and few amount of water. For thick gravy tomatoes are best option.
  7. Close the pan and keep it on medium flame.
  8. Now if oil is leaving the sides of pan, gravy is prepared then add the fried bhindi and aloo and mix it for at least 10 min.
  9. Add ¼ tbsp mango powder in that mixture.
  10. Now your sabji is ready and chop coriander leaves on it and you can serve it.
