Rainy Season Brings Pleasure and Happiness with the Drops Falling from Heaven.
The monsoon is heartily welcomed by everyone, as the season brings relief from summer months. The climate is cold and the tongue needs some hot and spicy. If anything truly defines the flavour of Indian monsoons, it is this bhutta.

The bhutta (Corn) season is officially on. We would grill a corn on the cob apply ghee, salt and lemon juice and eat. Its tangy salty charred taste was satiating and thoroughly enjoyable in the rainy season. Though corn is a summer crop, it is mostly relished in rains.

And come to think of it, it is perfect for the season too. It’s definitely a far better bet than the fried samosas and bhajias that we tend to veer towards when it rains, plus, you’ll be surprised to know just how nutrient-packed it really is.

Corn is rich in pantothenic acid, thiamine and niacin. A good source of folic acid, vitamin C and beta-carotene, it also contains phosphorous, magnesium, zinc and iron copper and selenium in traces.

All these nutrients, help prevent heart disease. It increases your mental ability and boosts your memory, as it contains thiamine. Consuming corn also helps lower cholesterol and prevents colon cancer. You can add corn to your diet. This tiny food is loaded with lutein and zeaxanthin, two phytochemicals, which helps improve eye health. A cob of corn has about the same number of calories as an apple and less than one-fourth the sugar. In other words, it can be one of the healthier foods. Apart from these benefits, your favourite monsoon snack Corn is a great source of fibre that aids in digestion. Add a cup of yellow corn to your diet, to fill your body with 3.6 grams of dietary fibre. This fibre will help control your hunger and aid in weight loss.

Quick Ideas To Serve: Besides corn on the cob that can be relished roasted or steamed, try corn bhel, grilled corn sandwiches, corn patties, corn samosas and baked corn too.

Feeling adventurous? Whip up corn biryani, corn frankies and corn spring roles. Or maybe you can have a homemade pizza today with lots of corn sprinkled on top.
Too lazy? Just toss steamed corn kernels in an olive oil-salt-pepper-herbs dressing and bite in as you watch rain go pitter patter on the window shields.

Corn recipes

1. Grilled or Roasted Bhutta
Preparation Time : 10 minutes
Cooking Time : 20 minutes

5 ears of corn with stems
1/2 Teaspoon of salt
1 Teaspoon of chilli powder

Melt the butter/ghee and apply. After it is done mix salt, chilli powder, pepper powder, lemon juice and apply to the cob.
Today the grilled bhutta in its modern avatar has changed a lot. Special dressings are available – from mustard sauce to Chinese Schezwan sauce and cheese but nothing beats the age old bhutta topping of simple salt, chilli powder and tangy lemon.

Woman’s Journey; As a Home Maker A Happy Home Maker Makes A Happy Home!!!

Posted on Wednesday, 26 July 2017
by Admin for

‘Homemaker’ and ‘Housewife’ both words refer to the same character, but if we spell out the usage of these words, there is a lot of diversity. Firstly, there’s the difference between house and home. People change houses, but your home is your home. A ‘Homemaker’ or ‘Housewife’ is the one who creates a home. A house is just a structure of bricks, stones and concrete. It includes social, cultural and emotional aspects. A woman, who converts house into a home, is a ‘Homemaker’ and not only a ‘Housewife’.

Since ancient times, thinking of the society is that men as the main “bread earners” in families. This means they worked for earning money to pay for food, while the women have to do house work i.e. up bring the children, prepared food, cleaned the home and take care of the daily chores etc. It was seen as the job of a woman to be a “housewife”.

In present scenario, there are still many customs about the jobs that women’s should do. Even at this time, when women have good educations. They are able to earn money like the men usually do. Nowadays, in many families where both husband and wife work, both partners contribute in the housework and also in caring for the children.

In some families, there is still a traditional inspiration that housework is the job of the wife or she must stay at home in some situations and play an important role in the family. She handles all the household work which includes cooking, cleaning, organizing the home, shopping grocery, clothes and other family needs, caring for children’s health, education, home works, playing with children, caring for elders, entertaining guests, planning for guests and holidays/celebrations, preparing a budget, discovering ways to use the household’s financial planning, making bill payments, caring pets & gardening etc. Every day her work starts by morning and continues till late night. She works for 365 days selflessly without any salary or break or credit.

The husband could be the prime earner and contributor, but the woman who stays home is the main contributor of the emotional care and happy environment of the home. She’s the one to encourage in her children the values and base that creates a healthy, balance minded child for future. There is much more to be understood for homemaker who is able make her dreams come true with support of the family, raising kids, clean, cook and still put on a cheerful face and love what she are doing all by the side of the routine.

At present, ‘House Wife’ has a specific status ‘Home Maker’ because of her devotion and noble works for home. Many ‘Home Maker’ across the country, are working from home. She is managing her home & profession successfully without going for the job outside the house. Those who have children, find difficult to move out of the house, when they work independently from home it’s more pleasing, and much more suitable for maintaining the home.

‘Zeemlo’ is an opportunity to all ‘Home Makers’ just considers that being a ‘Home Maker’ is an amazing award to you as your own boss.

‘Home Maker’ role is not easy; it’s very tough & full of responsibilities. We should be thankful and respect them for their emotional love & care. We can give some time to her by helping in the house hold work whenever you have free time on weekends or celebrating their birthday and anniversary. We must be careful for their health too.

We look towards the sky, yearning for a cloud to burst and drench the thirsty soil.

The Monsoon in India is a season of joy and rejuvenation is a symbol of hope, fertility and growth. And is the best time for authentic food lovers.

Food is our best friend and we don’t require any special reason to munch on those when its time of Rainy Season. Some of us don’t like these days because of water logging and interrupted transport services but it cannot intrude our food cravings.

Zeemlo sit with their chefs and had a full discussion over monsoon food- which food/snack is in high demand, what we can serve, about recipe and all. And at the end we got several items to share, though you can make your vacations or rainy days special with.

Saawan, is the purest and pleased season, according to me. It is the spectacular season where food influences in regions are stanch. And at this moment we miss the snacks prepared or cooked by our mom. However we reside away from our home and have no such way to cook the pakoda’s, samosas, bhajia’s or etc. A handy and easy approach Zeemlo comes in mind (that serves you the home made food). You can order all the varieties of seasonal snacks with Zeemlo.

imgpsh_fullsize (136)

The most desired and loved food is pakodas and bhajias and is prepared at every home. Zeemlo provide you the varieties of pakodas like besan ka pakoda, bread ka pakoda, daal ka pakoda, methi or palak ka pakoda etc. Mirchi Bhajia is in high demand in this season.

imgpsh_fullsize (139)

Most of the folk loves to eat samosa at rainy day with the combination of chutney or curie. This is one of the favorite snacks of every Indian and we can indulge ourselves happily in it.

imgpsh_fullsize (140)

Garma garm aloo ka paratha with curd or achaar gives a delicious taste at the time of monsoon. You can order it as your breakfast with Zeemlo.

imgpsh_fullsize (138)

Idli Sambhar is a famous South India dish and its taste is unbeatable. Our chefs are expert in making this and they add an incredible taste in it.

imgpsh_fullsize (137)

The hot and tasty Chole Bhature is mouth-watering dish to the rainy season.  And it will give you the stomach full of happiness.

Monsoons are a breath of fresh air but for me it signifies the fresh aromas and fried food cravings. However rain also brings health disease or infections like malaria, typhoid, cholera or food poisoning. So it is necessary to keep your eye open and take some precautions that can keep your healthy and fit.

Avoid such street or junk foods as there are very few people having the high immunity to handle the bacterial overloaded plates. At this period ghar ka khana is the best option for all. You can order all these seasonal varieties from Zeemlo- which is only a step away from you. Just download or install the app in your android phone and order the food of your choice.

Zeemlo chefs take precautions to provide you the healthy and germ free food. They use to wash the vegetables before cooking and avoid too much oil that causes acidity. Our chefs use plenty of garlic, ginger, turmeric, pepper or other useful ingredients that improve your immunity.

Food consumption and production have a substantial impact on the environment. To be good and healthy food need to be correctly sourced and consumed.

We can survive without many things but cannot survive without food- the production of food has become a serious problem. With the increase of world’s population demand of food production is also increasing and it causes the environmental degradation.

Due to environmental factors food allergy has increased rapidly and the immune response of FA is characterized by IgE production. Food allergy is defined as an advert health effect arising from specific immune response that occurs reproducible on exposure to a given food”.

There is emergent evidence that pointing to the skin problem that is peanuts. The majority of patients with tree nut or peanut allergy experienced that the food was ingested. According to research Ezcema is a risk factor that associates with food allergy.

If we talk about meat production as animal are directly contribute to water or air pollution and upsurge the carbon di oxide. But factory farming shortens the size of land that is required for meat production, though these farms are full of air or water pollutant. Mass productions is one of the main contributors to carbon dioxide which in turn are the main cause of climate change.

In addition to organic food, they are the best health nutrients. The key thing of organic food is that they do not contain artificial preservatives and their life is too shorter and this makes them much nutritious. Organic foods are the one that contain 100% organically produced ingredient. If we talk about the result at the end organic food provides rich amount of essential nutrients which have significance role in human’s health and environment. They strictly ban the use of chemicals and there is no jeopardy of water or soil contamination.

The key to solve this problem is to choose locally food having less fossil fuel for transportation. Choose organic food over non-organic as organic supplements produced with no chemical which mean it reduces the water, air, soil or pollution. Zeemlo follows all the key points that can reduce the air pollution. Our chefs pick the right or organic food to cook the meal. According to our chefs we strictly prefer organic food as they are helpful in many health issues such as:- heart health, immune system, antibiotic resistance, better taste,  environmental safety or animal welfare.

Amazed!! Surprised!! Stunned!!

How Ghar Ka Khana can help in building the resistance against the effects of air pollution. You are absolutely right at your place if this question rise in your mind. Zeemlo will guide you by telling how “ghar ka khana”, reduces harmful effects of air pollution.

If we talk about homemade food- it is natural and best way to eliminate the effects of pollution. As it stops us to eat unhealthy or unhygienic food, we use natural flavors by mixing them at home and organic food that we plant at our place. By following this approach we can move ahead:-

Choose organically grown fruits and vegetables.

imgpsh_fullsize (120)

Organic fruits or vegetables are grown by farmer or us that contain no artificial farming. Farmers avoid using chemicals which subsidize pollution.

Grow your own fruits and vegetables.

imgpsh_fullsize (123)

To stop the air pollution start gardening by your own at your backyard. As plants/ tress convert carbon die oxide into oxygen which acts like carbon sink, means less pollution.

Choose local food whenever possible.

imgpsh_fullsize (121)

Transportation of foods requires a fuel and excessive use of fuel can generate air or noise pollution. Instead of buying foods that needs travelling, choose the nearest mart.

Try to use raw materials and make things whatever is possible from them, is great way to reduce air pollution. The reason is packaging goods, shipping or mass-production can pollute the air.
Go and take a look around your house and figure out the items that you can make instead buying them.

Reduce or eliminate your consumption of animal products from factory farms

imgpsh_fullsize (122)

Factory products are one of the giant contributors to air and water pollution. To help in reducing the pollution stop buying animal products like meat, chicken or egg and go for vegan or vegetarian.

The air we breathe has grasped dangerous heights of pollution. People with no known breathing problems are landing up in hospitals. Although the government does its bit to improve the air quality, and though above points you can help your body compact with this onslaught.

Do you know the difference between Natural and Artificial Flavors in your food?

In older era people use to have natural flavors of spices as they make it at home without mixing any artificial item. According to them these types of flavored items are healthy for us. We can’t say natural flavors are not in use today; our elders usually go for it. In our day generation is not aware of all these they went to mart and buy artificial flavor without knowing the impact of it as they have no such time to prepare that at their own. They don’t know about the flavor or what makes it artificial or natural.
I am writing this article to aware you with the difference between both and at the end of this article you will have the better idea of both.
Due to advancement in technology food supply is control in different ways. Like if we are using cherry flavor and is most likely was cherry, those time were quickly being forgotten and the quality of food products are replaced with cheap imitations.

imgpsh_fullsize (116)
Natural Flavor
Natural Flavor is an essential oil, protein hyrdrolysate, oleoresin or essence or extractive, which contain the flavoring constituents that derived from a spice, vegetable or vegetable juice, fruit or fruit juice, herb, root, leaf or bud.
Artificial Flavor
These flavors are made in laboratory by professionals known flavorist. While the chemicals used to make artificial flavor and natural are same but not their sources. Artificial flavors are made by using synthetic chemicals and natural are made using the chemicals that are sourced from environment.
What Zeemlo Chef’s Do
Zeemlo Chefs are very talented. As they are housewives and know what is effective and helpful for their family. They avoid using artificial flavors, according to them natural flavors are safer and healthier. Their opinion is artificial flavors are affordable because various synthetic compounds are present in it and are made through chemicals in lab. Nature will not take its chemicals through a vetting process designed to keep humans safe.

Women- the delicate, fragile and soft lady seems come from different planet. Life of them is totally different from men their works are restricted like raising and caring their kids, family or cleaning and cooking.

Here I am going to share a real story of women that what are their daily routines as a housewife.

Sneha 32 year old, young, beautiful lady from Jaipur shares her routine work with us. She says It’s no wonder kitchen is my most favorite room in my home as I spend a lot time there.

From morning till evening, from evening to late night, from night to morning  ……..

In fact it seems, there is nothing else in life except in the kitchen and food. Every woman’s have the same dilemma, when and what to make. Sometimes it seems to be cooked me when I feel exasperated. It does not want to talk like this but it looks like this.

imgpsh_fullsize (99)In short it does not mean that I do not like to cook. I like to cook, and my family and friends say that I cook very tasty and delicious food. But the things look good if they are controlled. If you have to stay in the kitchen for 8 hours in 24 hours, how will it feel?

In my family no one likes to eat Gobi and it’s like allergic to bitter melon. So what’s left? Potato and Bhindi!! Papa is a diabetic patient, so the potatoes are avoided.

Husband likes chickpeas cheese, Papa hates it a lot. Papa likes mangodi papad, husband has not tasted yet.

Now our beloved mother is going to treat the teeth. Rice kichi upma, do not love them and rest is oatmeal and Kadhi and potatoes with it.

Now the story from night to morning…… Sometimes I remind at 12 o’clock to soak the chickpeas and at 1 AM dahi zamana. It takes 2 o’clock in the kitchen so the motor of the kitchen is on or off. Taking the bottle out from the freezer at 3 o’clock and if it is 4 o’clock, keep it inside the curd neither it will be sour.

What to do? I still not get any answer. My baby needs milk at 7 A.M. Mummy-Papa wants to have tea at 8 in morning and my dearest hubby take coffee at 9 o’clock. Its not over yet…. Breakfast timings also vary children at 10, husband at 11 and mummy and papa needs at 12.

Again Sasu mom lunches at 2 o’clock. Children at 3 o’clock and I thankful to god that at the time of breakfast lunch of my father-in-law and husband is packed. Same thing happened with dinner.

It’s not a satire, is a real story of my daily routine from morning to night. Very first I feel depresses and cry at alone, whole day I feel irritable with all. But someone explained me with very nice lines

What we cannot change, accept it and enjoy!!!

Women as Bread Earner of the Family

Posted on Tuesday, 16 May 2017

The portrayal of women in India has been an evolving miracle since time immemorial.  The women in India have changed the social role over the past as they worshiped as divine or pure creatures, to the feudal role of child bearing or rearing. In today’s developing time women has got much more significance role.

imgpsh_fullsize (90)

Women are the one, always see their family first and last and fade their own dreams for them. They need to remember family is the one where she is going to spend her entire life. She need to take care of whatever is possible, they are spending more time around their children to be a good mother and rest of the time to prove her a good wife. And man at their place thinks the lady only can manage and handle their family in better way so they always stand against to their job and make them a bread maker of the family.

But the contemporary women in India have moved beyond all social boundaries to emerge as triumphant leaders of tomorrow. Now the scenario is changed and females are dogging successful ambitious in the male dominated corporates and women have stepped into the part-time jobs to showcase their hidden talent and had stepped out from being bread bakers to bread earners of the family.

A woman is the only one who is the giver at each stage of life and can fulfill all the desires or challenges she faces. Dreams of her family she make her own and fade her own desires.

Women as Housewives

In India being a housewife is difficult job as you have no real appreciation, no raise and its non-stop from the time you open your eyes in the morning to the tick you shut your eyes at night.

In our society there are many women see it as a family role and in result they get boredom, complacency or boredom. It’s time to change your life and headspace and it give the niche it deserves. Jump over the barriers and try to fulfill your dream.

imgpsh_fullsize (86)

You can attend cooking course, dance classes or whatever your hobby is, if you are not allowed to go out and work, starting engaging yourself by doing home-based jobs or freelancing.  It won’t not only give you the income but also makes your mentally and physically fit.  Try to prove your husband you are more likely to him in each case.

The focus of this article is on empowerment of women. Zeemlo is the one that provides all such. We had given liability to women to show their cooking talent whether to earn for her or to support economically or financially to her family.

We especially encourage to the housewives or females who are not able to go out for job and want to earn for their children or husband. Our chefs are from different region and are expert in cooking. No doubt whether they cook regional dish or other is too delicious.

imgpsh_fullsize (89)

Women Chefs associated with ZEEMLO were invited to share their success story after joining our team.  Deepika Kumari from Haryana shared how her life changes after relocating to Jaipur in 2012 after marriage. Here I face several issues and after having two children my husband were not able to run our family in earning of 12k. At the end “Maine apne husband ko financially support krna soch, lekin mujhe ghar se bahr jakr nakuri krna mna tha, Maine apni kisi friend se Zeemlo ke barein mai sunna and aj mai apnea p ko kisi expert chef se km ni manti”. Zeemlo ne muje na hi keval naam dia balki aj mai apne ghar ko chlane mai apne pati ki help kr ri hu. Zeemlo makes me feel great. I really thank to zeemlo to make me the BREAD EARNER of my family.

Women are not trying to fix themselves in successful careers but also doing same for other women. Social causes have attracted the attention of women and their voice against the violence has resulted into new laws, more protection or quicker response for attacks on women.

"Don't do it for money, do it because you want to help others"

To begin with…. Lets’ get familiar with Zeemlo. Zeemlo- is a homemade food service that provide “Ghar Ka Khana” or “Maa ke Hath Ka Khana” to all those people who are living away from their sweet home.

Need for Zeemlo Community

Furthermore, Zeemlo launched a “Zeemlo Community” as they are part of social service. With our volunteers and chef’s we build our team. Our chefs are the ladies who want to show their talent of cooking or were waiting for the opportunity that allow them work from home. Zeemlo gives them a platform where they also can be the part of Zeemlo Community and help people who are needy.

imgpsh_fullsize (75)

Why social service is required

If we measure the ratio of poor children, we observe the majority of impoverished and orphan children are high. And you will found them most at public places like bus stop, near complex, temples or transport routes. They have no place to sleep or have no shelter to cover their heads. They born and raised in poor family with no living standard. They don’t have any knowledge about the rights and wrongs. To aware them with all good and bad, Zeemlo step into social services. There is neither greater joy nor greater reward than to make a fundamental difference in someone’s life

For whom we work

Zeemlo helps the poverty-stricken people either the parents or their child. We believe in spreading joy with no fee in return. We too work for the orphan children or the elderly ladies living in “Vridh Ashram”.

Why Ladies are part of Zeemlo Community

Our chef team is also a part of Zeemlo Community. If we compare to women to men interestingly women invest their most time and money in social communities. As the reason of they are familiar with the gender based violence in aspect to sexual assault, domestic or rape. They understand the problem more deeply and provide the precise solution. As a mother they have a soft corner not only for their own child but for every single child. Conclusion Recently, we organized a social event, where our team motivate penurious children and inspire them by telling them a real-life stories that can change their life too. We also freely transfer the possessions like gifts, food etc. At the end we feel happy by seeing a smile on the cute little faces. Or we can say:-

“There is no bigger investment than your time and no real diamond than the smile of kids”.
